Valls preserves an interesting historic centre, but perhaps what has made Valls more popular are the 'castells', human towers of great beauty and difficulty. Valls is considered the cradle of castells and is the place where the first stable groups of castellers were mentioned. Outstanding among the buildings of interest in Valls are the chapel of El Roser, with glazed tiles from the 17th century.
