| Estartit is a former fishing village that owes much of its popularity as a tourist destination to the sandy beach that stretches 6 km along the coast. The town has a fair sized marina, and the beach looks across to the Illes Medes, islands that are protected as a nature reserve. The Medes are a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling, and there are regular glass bottomed tour boats and even a submarine to let you explore the subterranean views. |
