The Trintella 52c sport yacht for sale in Southern Spain is custom designed for an owner who wanted to blend the high performance, possible with today's IMS type of yacht, with a luxurious interior build by a renowned Dutch yacht builder.

The yacht had to be suitable for double handed cruising as well as "club level" racing with a moderate crew. Additional desired features where reducible draft and a raised saloon with an inside steering position. Special care had to be taken to integrate the styling of the pilothouse in the performance character of the yacht.

Good performance will mainly be achieved by a light displacement and a fair hull shape with long waterline length. The IMS type bow with its typical fine entry has proven to provide a smooth ride trough waves.

Weight is minimised by using composites for hull, deck and bulkheads, while light weight plywood is used for the interior. A 2.80m. deep keel with a large lead bulb provides a high righting moment with a relative low amount of ballast. The draft can be reduced to 1.80m. for entrance to shallow harbours and anchorage's.
