Lying under the shelter of the Cabo Roig (red cape), from which it receives its name, this small dockyard presents a well-tended and inviting image. In addition to port services, it has a small social club and a light sailboat and windsurfing school that opens in summer. As an additional attraction, there is a restaurant within the confines where good lobster paella can be ordered, offering magnificent scenery and an ancient watchtower converted into an excellent wine cellar which on special occasions is used as a private dining room.
The yacht club at the foot of Roig cape provides dinghy sailing and windsurf classes and is linked to Club Nautico Dehesa de Campoamor by a wide beach always dotted with windsurf sails. The southernmost beach, Mil Palmeras, blends into that of the neighbouring town. In addition to sailing activities, there are also three excellent golf courses situated just a few metres away from the sea.
