Yachts berth in the fishing harbour some three miles north of the city. Marina Tenerife keeps a permanent watch on VHF channel 9 and an attendant will direct the yacht to a vacant slip. During the high season it is advisable to reserve in advance. It is also possible to berth on the northernmost quay of the fishing harbour, which is administered by the Port Authority; a few yachts prefer this low-cost option, despite the lack of facilities.
