Playa de Las Americas is the most famous tourist area, and so this is where you will find plenty of small beaches, protected by long breakwaters to stop the made up sand banks being washed away.
Playa las Americas and Los Christianos is the two tourist towns in the south almost melted into one. The town is noisy with all its night clubs. The town has an Aquapark, a golf court and an animal park called Las Aguilas. Below the towns seen from the hills and from outside the coast.
It is popular to go by boat outside the towns, to the sea. The boats looks for whales and dolphins. They say they usually finds whales but dolphins only at 60 % of the days. We did not see any dolphins (of course), but found some whales. They boat drives close by them, and exciting view.
