(Fuengirola) St. Anthony?s College was established in 1968. It is an officially recognised bilingual school offering an English curriculum from Reception (age 3) to GCSE and GCE Advanced Level (age 18+) together with Spanish EGB, BUP and COU.
The college is situated at Km. 5.25 on the Camino de Coin (known as the "Mijas Golf Road"). There is a school bus service and the college has its own kitchen and dining room from which hot meals, snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.
The classrooms, laboratories and recreational areas of the college are set in spacious grounds that create an ideal and secure environment for learning. The curriculum is taught by well-qualified teachers and there is an attractive range of extra-curricular activities.
In the Primary department, children can be admitted to the Reception class at the age of three years, or any class from Year 1 (age 5) to Year 6 (age 11). Children study all subjects, broadly following English National Curriculum programs.
At the age of eleven, pupils normally transfer to the Senior department (Year 7). Pupils transferring from other schools can do so at any age. We like to meet such pupils with their parents for an informal interview; recent reports from previous schools are very helpful.
The curriculum in the senior school is aimed at the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examinations and General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (A-Level) of the University of London Examinations and Assessment Council.
