Seville or Sevilla as it is known in Spain is not far from the Algarve in Portugal or the Costa del Sol in Spain. You can find it in the south west corner of Spain and it is without doubt one of the best Cities that I have visited.
The only airlines that fly direct to Seville Airport from the UK are British Airways, Iberia and Ryanair.
You can also fly directly into Jerez which is only around an hour away or even combine it with a holiday to the Costa del Sol and fly intoMalaga Airport.
Seville is a City to spend a few days in, I dont feel that it is worth spending a full week or two weeks there but you can explore the rest of Andalucia from here.
West of Seville around 3 hours drive is another ancient Spanish town, Granada. Directly above Granada is Spain and Europes most southern Ski resort in the Sierra Nevada. During the months of November to February you could be basking in 25C in Seville and 3 hours later be skiing in freezing temperatures.
From Seville you can also drive down to the Costa del Sol or Costa de La Luz.
The Costa del Sol is better known and is home to resorts such as Marbella and Torremolinos whilst the Costa de La Luz is less well known and in my opinion has far superior beaches.
Seville is a perfect base and to make the most f your trip here it is best to pre book some car hire. We have generally found that Car-Hire.es offer the best rates on Seville rentacar.
