 70 kms north of Barcelona and only 100 kilometers south of France or the French border is Lloret de Mar.
Lloret has been a popular holiday resort for several decades and one of the reasons that many families come back year after year is not only because of the fine Costa Brava weather but also because of the seven kilometers of coastline that offer save bathing on anyone of the Blue Flag beaches.
Flying to Lloret means that you must get a direct flight to either Girona Airport or Barcelona Airport and get a transfer, either bus, train or taxi from there.

Many UK holiday makers also drive to Lloret and you can achieve this by both catching a ferry into France and driving south or by catching a ferry from Portsmouth or Plymouth and disembarking at Santander or Bilbao.
