 Fuerteventura is just south of Tenerife and only 100 kms away from Morocco and the African coast.
The winters are short and mild with temperatures that hardly ever fall below 18c and the summers are long and dry with average temperatures hovering around 24c which is lower and much more comfortable than many of the popular tourist spots on mainland Spain.
