 Malaga Airport is the best Airport to fly to in order to get to Fuengirola. You can also fly into Granada, Jerez and Gibraltar but the flights are less regular and the journey times from the Airports are around 1-2 hours, compared with just 25 minutes from Malaga Airport.
You can use Fuengirola as a good base for exploring the Costa del Sol and Andalucia. The famous town of Marbella is only 20 minutes to the east of Fuengirola and a little further on is the glitzy resort of Puerto Banus.
