 From Barcelona in the north the Costa Dorada stretches fro 200 kms south all the way down past Tarragona and Salou to the river Ebre delta. In terms of its location within Spain you will find the Costa Dorada on the north eastern coastline.
The waters that surround the Costa Dorada are the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean and are backed by wide curving beaches that provide a safe place for the kids to play and good waters for the water sports enthusiasts.

If you are in a self catering apartment then the local food markets and supermarkets will have an excellent selection of local produce. Hazel nuts, almonds and olives are all grown locally and the fishing fleets of the Costa Dorada also keep the fish markets well stocked.
You can fly into either Reus Airport which is between Salou and Tarragona or you can fly into Barcelona Airport.
One of Spain?s largest theme parks Port Aventura (Part of Universal Studios) can be found on the Costa Dorada and offers a great family day out.
