Almunecar is on the Costa Tropical which is in the Province of Granada. Almunecar is about 75kms from the Spanish city of Granada and about 85 kms from Malaga and its large, International Airport.

Almunecar is a beautiful town with the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea in front of it and the bottom of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range behind it.

The combination of protective mountains and a warm breeze blowing off the sea provide ideal growing temperature for a whole variety of Fruits and Vegetables. In Almunecar you will find Bananas, Avocados, Custard Apples and Mangos all eagerly growing.

Almunecar offers frost free winters with the spring and early summer providing the best temperatures. The winter temperatures hardly ever fall below 18C and the warm summer sun in Almunecar is cooled by the sea breezes.

To fly to Almunecar you need to get direct flights into Granada Airport or Malaga Airport. Ryanair have now started a service to Granada from both Liverpool and Stansted. Malaga on the other hand is one of Spains busier Airports and has a huge number of flights from every airline imaginable.

Public transport from either of the airports to Almunecar is not an easy option. There are no trains running to Almunecar and any bus that you catch would involve at least two changes.
