Playa de Poniente, also called El Pellaillo beach, is without doubt the most boisterous beach of all the beaches in Motril, it is full of apartments and has all kinds of services (restaurants, snack bars, hotels, chiringuitos, a zone of sports equipment, 2 campings opened almost the whole year). In summer this long beach fills with life, and in the night his chiringuitos receive a new air, turning into a long avenue, after a night at the edge of the Mediterranean.

Between the beaches of Poninete and Las Azucenas we find "el barrio del Varadero". Together there are the Sports Port, Club Nautico de Motril and the Commercial and Fishing Port.

Equipment and services: this beach has a handicapped persons facilities, parking and showers, beach umbrellas and hammocks, restaurants, promenade and many more.
