Montecastillo Hotel & Golf Resort

Montecastillo, situated nearby Jerez de la Frontera next to the Formula 1 Grand Prix track, opened in 1992.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Montecastillo is a beautiful, reasonably undulated, course with artistically placed lakes and spectacular elevated tees surrounded by rolling hills. The finishing 3 holes guarantee thrilling moments. Especially the 18th par 4 is brilliant. The tee box is situated on top of a hill, 40 meters lower the fairway curves around a lake which is guarding the green.

Montecastillo hosted the 1994 and 1996 Turespaña Masters Open and has been the venue for the always exciting final of the European PGA tour, The Volvo Masters, from 1997 till 2001.

The clubhouse, golfshop and caddymaster are accommodated in an impressive Castle. The renown five star luxurious Montecastillo Hotel offers all facilities you may expect from a fine setting like The Montecastillo Resort. This course is voted as one of the 50 best golf courses in Europe.
