Pollenca beach, also called Llenaire beach, is the excellent beach in the zone of the bay, which has any equipment, service or activity that the tourist could need. Spanish sophistication at its best. If you prefer the simple and good things in life - it's all here, with enough to go round. The beach is hugged by a traffic-free promenade, dappled with cool shade from the trees, while fishing boats and yachts come and go from the harbour Real Club Nautico Port de Pollensa
The town planners have even come up trumps in the centre where they've created a quaint square as a focal point.
In places the beach is man-made where it's been widened and some parts are sharp shingle so footwear is recommended.
Pollensa beach is one of the few which did not earn the coverted EU flag for excellence.
A road runs alongside, in addition to the walkway, and heading south out of the town the traffic moves at quite a pace.
The beach is excellent for kids - good sand and shallow waters extend way out into this sheltered bay. Further afield they can let off steam at the waterpark
Equipment and services: this beach has renting from water crafts, renting from beach umbrellas and hammocks, lifeguards, rest rooms, cleaning service and waste bins, red cross, showers. |
