Parador Malaga del Golf, the oldest course in Andalucía, was designed by Tom Simpson who is particularly known for designing the famous golf courses Turnberry and Muirfield in Scotland.

The fairways on the front 9 are tracing the contours of the undulated area while the back 9 is sited in an area where some earth movement was necessary resulting in a different kind of course with tropical vegetation raised greens and lakes.
