The Lady Elizabeth School Costa Blanca Spain

(Javea) The Lady Elizabeth School is an Independent Coeducational Day School for pupils from 3 - 18 years. Founded in 1987, the school opened its doors at Parque Esplendido, Costa Nova with just fourteen pupils. Due to rapid expansion the school moved into larger premises in Casco San Juan near the town centre of Javea. In 1991 the school had increased in number to over a hundred pupils and moved again to the present site of the Primary Department in Seniola.

In 2000 demand for places in the school meant a further expansion. The Secondary Department transferred to a purpose built site in Lliber allowing the Primary pupils the comfort of their own campus. By June 2001 the school had grown to 400 pupils and by June 2003 the joint school roll had grown to 644, with the numbers rising to 695 in September 2003.

The secondary department enjoys impressive, brand-new facilities including; science laboratories, electronic music studio, computer suite, art and technology rooms, food science department and library. There is a swimming pool, hard court and games areas too!

Situated on the beautiful Costa Blanca mid way between Alicante to the South and Valencia to the North the Secondary School is located in Lliber close to the motorway. The Primary Department is situated on a large enclosed site close to Javea. Communication with neighbouring towns is good, with Alicante and Valencia airports approximately an hour away.

The Lady Elizabeth School is inspected regularly by both the British and Spanish authorities and is fully authorized to exist in Spain and to offer the British National Curriculum to pupils of all nationalities. It has "homologacion" with the Spanish system to accept Spanish nationals and to offer the three obligatory elements of the Spanish Curriculum in the ESO and the full programme of the Spanish Bachillerato. Studies at The Lady Elizabeth School can therefore be recognized for transfer to the Spanish system or to schools worldwide.
