Isla Cristina Marina is situated, on the left bank of the river Carreras, one and a half miles from the head of the western breakwater. In the marina, which provides mooring at pontoons, the tidal range is 3.4 metres and currents reach a speed of up to 2 knots. For marina access, the Harbour Master should be called on Marine Band channel 9. The town of 14,000 inhabitants surrounds the marina on the north, west and south sides. The marina is just 15 km away from the Portuguese border by road.
