At International Partners for Study Abroad (IPSA) our schools we use an interactive method of teching based on learning by practice. The emphasis is on conversation but, of course, we also pay attention to grammar, reading, listening and writing. Grammar is one of the building blocks of a language but as much as possible is central to the continuous interaction between teacher and student. We have refined the communicative teaching method continuously through years of experience and constantly evaluating and applying student suggestions.

The lessons at the Spanish Language School in Tenerife are lively and varied. The emphasis is on conversation but, of course, we also pay attention to grammar, reading, listening and writing.

In the classes, we make use of overhead projectors, video and other audio-visual materials. To ensure that the lessons are as practical as possible, we work with newspaper articles and we teach you how to conduct a telephone conversation in Spanish. Films and documentaries will also be viewed, songs will be listened to and menus read. In addition, you will give talks and take part in role-play situations.

The School is located in the "Edificio Bélgica", a traditional Canarian building. Just 5 minutes walking from the Martianez Beach, 2 minutes from the famous "Lagos Martianez" and 10 minutes from the city hall. The school has 7 luminous classrooms, a teachers' room, a patio, secretariat, multimedia classroom, a recreation area with television, hi-fi, library and videos.

Due its magnificent location you will be just minutes froms beautiful beaches and recreational opportunities.

The School offers special activity course: Spanish plus Scuba Diving, which provides a unique opportunity to learn Spanish language while practicing Scuba diving in Tenerife.

The School also offers Spanish for the Golden Age courses for those who are enjoying their second spring and want a specially tailored program.
