In a bay sheltered from the wind, a wide beach just over a mile long awaits holidaymakers. Fine sand and shallow water also make the enclosed bay attractive to families with children. There are numerous water sports facilities, such as, for example, diving and windsurfing schools and several restaurants provide ample refreshment after sporting activities. The south of Platja de Talamanca is less densely built-up than the northern section. You can get to the beach by car via Eivissa Nueva or Jesús. A more pleasant way is to take the ferry from Eivissa, as this provides a view of the entire harbour.
