Playa de las Canteras beach is a 2 kilometres long beach with fine golden sand.in the disctrict of Santa Catalina.
The contrast of city life one minute and beautiful beaches and sparkling sea the next is quite remarkable. Along the promenade and back toward the city you will find many bars, restaurants, shops etc. as you would expect in any tourist area.
The promenade has been smartly built and runs the full stretch of the sands. Walking along it is quite a treat. As well as the hustle and bustle you can also enjoy the art work which has been placed at different point on the broad walk. When we arrived the main stream of tourist seemed to be the locals themselves. A great way to relax after a hard day at the office!
