Gavà is a municipality of the Baix Llobregat area which extends from the Garraf massif to the sea and incorporates part of the Delta del Llobregat.
The Municipal Park is a meeting place for both young and old. Its big gardens, with areas for relaxation as well as cultural and school activities, encourage reading and other forms of entertainment too.
Throughout the year, the Park holds events which include the International Puppet Festival, City Festival concerts and dances and other cultural calendar events.
In the west of the city lie some of the most up-to-date and popular facilities of the city. The people of Gavà can do sports in one of the most exceptional sports facilities known as La Bòbila Municipal Stadium and at the new municipal swimming pool or spend their leisure time in Francesc Macià Square, one of the largest public areas of the city where the Asparagus Fair takes place.
