What a bunch of crooks DSL Spain turned out to be. Soon after I paid out all the money they went bust and did a runner. They also took my fathers money and he got nothing.
I ended up having to sell my 2,750 euro system for 400 euros and then buy a different one instead. I wasn't prepared to pay out over 100 euros per month to keep it running. Luckily I came across a guy called Chris who was selling a system for only 450 euros which uses a satellite dish for downloads and either a mobile phone / TRAC phone / Land Line for the upload. we cannot get a phone through telefonica ,but havei think the same thing ,where a gadget goes on top of the house, it gives me broadband y phone combined, cost is around 45euros per month. i get my calls free by useing voiccheap,www,voipcheap.com i can ring almost anywhere in the world for free!!by useing my computer with headphones,i can ring to landlines on it. our house phone is used for incoming calls only.if you dont have a house phone but are on broadband you can use voipcheap anyway.

I moved to Spain last year and try as I might I was unable to get a phone line of any sort from Telefonica.
I looked around for an alternative and found that I could get a phone and 6Mbit internet system from a company called DSLSpain www.dslspain.com Bearing in mind that this is cutting edge technology I was surprised to find that the system would only cost me 2,750 Euros. This may sound high but a year ago the price was over 5,000 Euros and it meant that I could get back in touch with my friends and relatives again.
The system was installed on the day stated (a very rare thing in Spain) and it worked instantly with no hassle. The internet flies through and at a cost of only 1.9 cents per minute to call home to England, no more trips to the claustrophic internet cafe.
