Simon,
This question should be clarify to you by the person or company that has sell you the house, really
But i will give you a tip anyway
When you buy a property, there are charges..
As in anything else there is a charge of 7% or IVA (VAT) if the properties is new, if is a reasale property is 6%.
After that you got to pay the "ipuestos de actos juridicos" Legal fees 0,5% and registro de la propiedad, gestoria y seguro de incendios (fire house insurance). In total this can be a total increment of up to 10%.
I would certainly not recommend that anybody buys a property in Spain without legal guidance!
We have all heard the horror stories about unsuspecting expats, (indeed, another large case broke this weekend!), and an independent lawyer, while costing you money upfront, can be worthwhile to save losing later.
WE have bought a property in Spain and live in England. We have just been told we have to pay non residential taxes and other taxes - Any information about these and about how much would be great. Do we have to go through a solicitor to pay these. Thanks
At the moment the things ar going mad in costa del sol, and you should have the tough of being part of the european and one of the lowest prices, that means here in the coas things have to go up up and up, Some more info could you find it in www.dkasa.com
Hope you have it more clear
