Simon,
This question should be clarify to you by the person or company that has sell you the house, really
But i will give you a tip anyway
When you buy a property, there are charges..
As in anything else there is a charge of 7% or IVA (VAT) if the properties is new, if is a reasale property is 6%.
After that you got to pay the "ipuestos de actos juridicos" Legal fees 0,5% and registro de la propiedad, gestoria y seguro de incendios (fire house insurance). In total this can be a total increment of up to 10%.

Kiko,

I would certainly not recommend that anybody buys a property in Spain without legal guidance!

We have all heard the horror stories about unsuspecting expats, (indeed, another large case broke this weekend!), and an independent lawyer, while costing you money upfront, can be worthwhile to save losing later.

We at Dkasa.com use Http://www.horacio-asociados.com solicitors, but let me tell you tha here in Sapin a Lawyer its not need.

We only use soicitor for cases thet require it as complicated deals working with large companies or law aspects as court and so on,

As buying a property its no need if you require a mortgage as the bank makes all research for themself before signin the mortgage.

I recomend you an acountancy company or services as electrycity, water, and taxes, they will save you arroud 3/4 of what a lawyer will charge you

WE have bought a property in Spain and live in England. We have just been told we have to pay non residential taxes and other taxes - Any information about these and about how much would be great. Do we have to go through a solicitor to pay these. Thanks

With a global economic slowdown widely predicted, do you think it will affect the Costa del Sol?
