The
Costa del Sol is possibly the best known of all the Spanish Costas. It stretches approximately from
Estepona in the west to
Nerja in the east. The Costa del Sol is an attractive stretch of coastline with many fishing villages and towns which have now become holiday resorts. Much of the coastline has high hills or mountains very close, creating some dramatic locations. The Costa del Sol is serviced by Malaga airport which is roughly central and within 1 hour drive to all parts of the Costa del Sol. Gibraltar airport also services the eastern part of the Costa del Sol.
