Costa de la Luz is situated in the west of southern Spain and looks out onto the Atlantic coastline of the Andalucian provinces of
Huelva and
Cadiz. The typical beaches on the Costa de la Luz are more expansive and backed by sand dunes and pine trees. The sand is finer and more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol. The Costa de la Luz is largely undeveloped though some areas are popular with surfers and windsurfers. The Costa de la Luz is serviced mainly by
Jerez airport and by
Sevilla airport which is a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the Costa de la Luz.
