The
Costa Brava extends along the Northern Catalan coast in the north east of Spain and has some 200 km of coastline with cliffs, pine trees and clear waters. The Costa Brava extends from the north of
Barcelona through to the province of
Girona. It is of great natural beauty. The Costa Brava is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain. It has suffered greatly from over development however, there are still lovely sheltered coves, beautiful scenary and beaches. Specialities include seafood, rice dishes and good wine and a mild climate. The Costa Brava is serviced by Barcelona airport.

| The Barcelona Airport is called the Prat Airport, in Prat of Llobregat, 12 km outside the city. As with many other buildings in Barcelona, this airport was renovated and modernised for the Olympic Games in 1992. Ricado Bofill was leading architect. Most scheduale flights arrive at Prat airport, while charters flights arrive at other two ones. Domestic flights from the Pont Aeri to Madrid every 50 minutes. There are more than 40 daily flights both ways and tickets can be bought in machines up to 15 minutes before boarding. |
