Sancti-Petri Marina, belonging to the municipal district of Chiclana, is located on a peninsula which links the Bay of Cadiz to the sea on its inferior plane, providing a very appealing sail and a challenge in view of the obstacles which must be navigated. This area of the Andalucian coastline features rocky and sandy shoals and considerable coastal activity. A landward approach should therefore only be attempted after securing updated information about the state of the shoals, which tend to block the way to the channel for craft sailing from the north. Craft calling at the marina can either drop anchor or use the available pontoon facilities, which are soon to be extended.
