SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE SCHOOL (Granada) Carmen de las Cuevas is a small school with a lot of experience teaching Spanish. Our team of teachers is enthousiastic and academically qualified, taking the educational objectives seriously and combining them with a relaxed and personal atmosphere.
To provide the best possible personal tuition, all classes are taught in small groups (maximum 8) with a restricted number of total students. In addition to the language courses available at all levels, we offer literature, history and art, history of flamenco courses, preparatory courses for the Cervantes Institute exam (DELE), business Spanish and methodology courses for Spanish teachers.
Apart from stressing grammatical structures and use of language, we understand that the language must be a vehicle of communication, civilization and a way of getting closer to the reality of Spain. This is the reason why our history, art and literature and flamenco history courses are of particular interest.
The school owns an interesting video collection of Spanish cinema and another of flamenco videos, featuring performances of the most outstanding artists (over 100 titles), a library (over 1,200 books), a computerised audio library (over 200 albums), a bar, games, Internet access, and a public fax and telephone.
A cultural programme is available for any student enrolled on a course and consists of introductory talks to tell new students about the school, Granada and the Alhambra, and also guided tours given by expert teachers of different places in Granada, normally of an artistic/historic nature.
