Seville or Sevilla can be found in south west Spain, near its border with Portugal and close to both the Costa Del Sol and Costa de La Luz.
If you are traveling to Seville from the UK then you can fly directly into Seville Airport with British Airways, Iberia or Ryanair.
Alternatively you could combine a trip to Seville with your traditional holiday to the Costa del Sol. Seville is around a 2½ drive from the Costa del Sol and is definitely worth both a visit and an overnight stay.
If you are flying into Seville and want to tour then head south towards Jerez which will take less than an hour, from hear you are within easy reach of Cadiz and some of Spain's best beaches which can be found at Tarifa.
Tarifa is where the Med meets the Atlantic and as you drive along the coastal road you almost feel that you can reach out and touch the coastline of Africa.
West of Tarifa is the Costa del Sol, geared up for mass tourism the Costa del Sol is a world away from the tranquil City of Seville that you have left behind.
Malaga is underrated and worth a visit whilst in Granada which is around 2 hours from Malaga you can enjoy winter skiing in Europe's most southern ski resort.
From Seville you can also drive into Portugal in less than 2 hours, you could have a two country holiday or even fly home again from Faro Airport in Portugal.
We have been to Seville many times and recommend staying there but feel that a few days is enough to see the main sites. After this it is best to organize your own rental Car and to head out and explore Andalucia.
We have found that Car-Hire.es generally offer the best rates for Car Rental in Seville.
