A new terminal that deals with all inter-island passenger traffic makes traveling between the Canary Islands just that little bit easier.
If you need to drive to and from Lanzarote Airport then just head for the main motorway, LZ-2 and follow the signs to the airport. The roads are clearly marked and the airport exits are sign posted.
The car park at Lanzarote Airport can park 1,120 cars and the first 30 minutes are free. If you are dropping of someone or picking up friends then be quick and it won't cost you a penny.
You can also catch the No 4 bus from the Airport to Arrecife; the bus stop is just outside the arrivals terminal and runs at frequent intervals. You can also catch a taxi form the busy taxi rank that is also outside of the arrivals hall.
Cafes and shops at the airport can provide you with something to do just before you fly. There are a number of cafes that serve drinks and sandwiches along with a few shops that offer the usual Duty Free fare of perfumes, cigarettes and alcohol. Just be careful about the amount you buy as the allowances here are a lot less than Mainland Spain and the rest of the EU.
Car rental is also available at Lanzarote Airport and we would recommend getting your car here rather than at your resort. You can cut down on all transfer costs and have a holiday where you can get out and explore this wonderful volcanic island.
There are a number of car rental companies at the airport but we have found that Car-Hire.es offer the best range of cars and the best prices fro rental cars at Lanzarote Airport.
