You can fly into either Malaga, Gibraltar or Jerez when traveling to Estepona from the UK.

The journey from Malaga in your rental car will take around 75 minutes and our advice is to follow the toll road rather than the N340 coast road. Although the toll will cost you between ¬7 and ¬10 depending on the time of year the money is money well spent.

Gibraltar is actually closer to Estepona than Malaga but only has flights from Manchester and Gatwick. If this is fine for you then check out British Airways and Monarch who both have daily flights.

The journey by rental car from Gibraltar to Estepona is around 20 minutes; again follow the signs for the toll road although this journey should only cost around ¬3.

Ryanair are now offering daily flights into Jerez from Stansted. If you live near Stansted and the prices are right then this may be an option to consider. The journey is around 140 kms which in time is 90-120 minutes depending on your driving habits.

The drive from Jerez to Estepona does take you through some great scenery and there is a new dual carriageway that has opened up and is virtually empty of traffic.

One other advantage of Estepona car rental is cost. The cost of airport transfers to Estepona is high because of the distances involved. A taxi from Malaga to Estepona will cost in the region of ¬90-100 each way.
