Not many people know about the Costa de la Luz, so far it is not been affected by mass tourism and overdevelopment like many of the other Spanish Costas.

It also has several large national parks with fantastic Oak and Pine woods. One of the best National Parks is the Donana National Park.

You need to fly into Jerez, Seville or Malaga in order to get to the Costa de la Luz with relative ease. Jerez is the nearest airport to most of the towns and the coast but it only has a small number of flights from the UK. Malaga on the other hand is around a two hour drive from Tarifa but has an enormous amount of flights on a daily basis.

There are no trains running from Jerez or Malaga Airport to the Costa de la Luz and the bus service is not bad but a little patchy. We believe that the easiest, quickest and most cost effective way of transferring to and from the Airport to the Costa de la Luz is by having your own rental car.
