 Around halfway between Malaga on the Costa del Sol and Barcelona on the Costa Brava, the Costa Blanca consist of three main areas within the Province of Alicante but both Murcia and Valencia itself are included or regarded as belonging to the Costa Blanca.
Many other Cities and Towns that most of us know are on the Costa Blanca including, Alicante, Torrevieja, Denia, Benidorm and Javea.
There are several Airports that supply flights to the Costa Blanca and it is advisable to collect your Car rental from the Airport you land at.
The biggest and best know Airport in the Costa Blanca is Alicante (El Altet). Currently the seventh busiest of all Spanish Airports., El Altet is easy to reach from anywhere in Europe and particularly the UK.
You can also reach the Costa Blanca via Valencia Airport to the north and Murcia Airport to the south. Murcia Airport is starting to attract many ?low cost? airlines so if you are staying to the south of Alicante this is definitely a route to explore.
The diversity of Holidays to the Costa Blanca is staggering with a mixture of quiet, rural, Spanish Villages that almost seem lost in time through to the large cosmopolitan resorts of Benidorm and Alicante.
Calpe is a personal favorite of mine, a traditional town that still retains its Spanish charm with a small fishing port and some great beaches. At the moment there is quite a lot of development going on in Calpe and I hope it doesn?t spoil it.
