Torremolinos is only around a ten minute transfer from Malaga Airport so unless you intend to sightsee there is little point hiring a car.

You can get here by either the efficient trains system at Malaga Airport, the regular bus service or via a short taxi ride.

From Torremolinos you can drive to most parts of the Costa del Sol and Andalucia within 90 minutes.

Seville for example is a wonderful Spanish City that is steeped in history and can be reached from Torremolinos by car in less than 2 hours.

Believe it or not, if you are traveling to Torremolinos during the winter months of November to March you could head off to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and do a spot of skiing in the afternoon after spending the morning by the pool in your Hotel in Torremolinos!

Torremolinos is also not far by car from Malaga City itself. Malaga is a wonderful Spanish City where most of the main sights can be seen in a day.

If you are into Shopping, Cinema, Ten Pin Bowling or Nightclubbing then head for Plaza Mayor, an edge of town entertainment complex that is home to a massive multi screen cinema that shows films on English everyday. You will also find a Nike Factory Outlet at Plaza Mayor.
