 The municipality of Baix Llobregat is where you will find Gava. Gava itself is includes of the Delta del Llobregat and extends from the Garraf massif down to the sea.
The centre of the town is the Municipal Park which tends to be a meeting place for old and young alike. The well kept, large gardens provide some great areas to just sit and watch the world go by. It is also the main hub of the town where all the school activities take place.
Many cultural events can be seen at the park including the International Puppet Festival along with many different dances and events throughout the year.
For the sports enthusiast head towards the west of the City where you will find La Bobila Municipal Stadium and the Municipal indoor swimming pool. You will also find another popular park here, Francesc Macia Square which holds the annual Asparagus Fair.
If you are driving to Gava you will find it just 23 kms outside the wonderful City of Barcelona.
For those of you who are taking a holiday to Gava you can fly into either Barcelona International Airport or the smaller and less known airport at Reus.
Reus Airport offers a large amount of Charter flights from the UK over the summer months and throughout the winter but if you live near Liverpool, Luton or Stansted you may be able to get a cheap flight with Ryanair.
Reus Airport is around 90 kms from Gava and the journey should take around 1 to 1½ hours by car.
