 Not far from the Capital of Fuerteventura, Puerto Del Rosario and only a short ten minute drive from the popular resort of Caleta de Fuste you will find the modern and comfortable Fuerteventura Airport.
The airport is located right besides the sea and you can get a great view of the island and your holiday destination as you come into land on the picturesque, volcanic Island of Fuerteventura.
After you have landed at Fuerteventura Airport you will either be met by a bus that will transfer you to the arrivals hall and your luggage or the plane will park at one of the arms and you will simply walk through into the baggage collection area.
Within the airport terminal itself you will find a number of cafes where you can grab a sandwich or coffee and a selection of shops where you can buy cigarettes, alcohol and perfumes. You will also be able to find a good selection of English, Spanish and German newspapers, books and magazines.
Some of the daily UK newspapers are actually printed in the Canary Islands and in each main resort or town you should be able to find a few shops selling that day's English newspaper.
It's safe to say that the shops at Fuerteventura Airport are generally a little more expensive than many of the supermarkets so if you get a chance its best to stock up on anything you really want before you get to the airport. Please remember to check the amount of goods you are able to take back to your country.
To get to your holiday hotel in Fuerteventura or apartment from the Airport you have a choice of taking a Fuerteventura Airport Taxi or collecting and driving your own hire car.
In our opinion it's best to get a hire car; it doubles up as your airport transfer and a good way to get you out and about in Fuerteventura whilst you are on your holidays.
