At the northern end of the Costa Blanca Denia enjoys around 20kms of coastline.
On one side (north) there are wide sandy beaches with shallow waters that are great for the kids and to the south the coastline is rockier and the beaches are set in small coves.
Denia Town sits at the bottom of a castle topped hill. The castle is home to the Marquis of Denia and it is worth the walk to the top to enjoy the terrific views of Denia and the bay.
For the Sports minded there are plenty of things to do in Denia, sailing, windsurfing, diving, kite surfing and of course fishing.
For those who like to keep their feet on dry land you could go mountain climbing, mountain biking, hang gliding or an enjoy a round of golf at Club La Sella, a fantastic golf course that was designed by Spanish golfing legend Jose Maria Olazabal.
If its nightlife that you are after then head for Las Marinas area where you will find it difficult to choose where to go and eat, drink or sit and watch the world go by.
Denia is around 106 kms north of Alicante International Airport and although you could hire an airport taxi for the return journey it is probably more cost effective to hire a car, even if you never use it apart from getting to and from the Airport to Denia it could work out cheaper.
