The Costa de la Luz is 300kms long and embraces towns and cities such as Huelva, Cadiz, Tarifa and Chiclana de la Frontera.
The Costa del la Luz is on the southern most point of Spain and runs from Tarifa all the way to the border with Portugal at Ayamonte.
In terms of tourism the Costa de la Luz is a well kept secret, so far it has avoided the over development and onslaught of package tourists that many of the other Costas have experienced.
In my opinion the Costa de la Luz has some of the best beaches and scenery in Spain. From the wide sweeping beaches at Tarifa through to the wonderful pine woods and lakes in the Donana National Park.
The Costa de la Luz is not that easy to get to. You can get here by flying into Jerez Airport, Seville Airport or Malaga Airport.
Jerez is the closest but doesnt have many direct flights from the UK. In fact the only company offering flights is Ryanair from Stansted.
Malaga is around a two hour drive from Tarifa and the Costa de la Luz but has an enormous amount of daily flights from the UK and Europe.
Whichever airport you land at the best way to get to and from anywhere on the Costa de la Luz is by hiring a car. Having a car will save you money on expensive airport transfers and give you the freedom to explore this wonderful part of Spain.
As always we believe that Car-Hire.es offer the best deals on all Costa de la Luz car hire.
