 The Costa Blanca is around halfway between the Costa del Sol (Malaga) and Barcelona. Although really only consisting of three main areas both Murcia and Valencia are often thought of and generally accepted as being part of the Costa Blanca.
Other well known Towns and Cities in the Costa Blanca are places like Benidorm, Alicante, Javea, Torrevieja and Denia.
The main Airport for the Costa Blanca is Alicante Airport (El Altet), currently Spain?s, 7th busiest Airport; Alicante Airport accepts flights from around the world.
If you are traveling from the UK to Alicante Airport you are almost spoilt for choice with regards to Airlines that you can fly with and Airports that you can depart from.
The other main Airports that you can use are Valencia Airport and Murcia Airport. The latter is getting busier and busier all the time and currently has a number of low cost airlines operating flights in and out of the Airport.
The Costa Blanca itself offers the complete range of Holiday destinations and really does provide something for everyone. From quiet rural towns and villages to the package and entertainment center of Benidorm.
One of my favorite spots is around Calpe. Calpe itself is a traditional Spanish Town with some of the best beaches that I have found in Spain. It also has a small fishing port and if you drive north along the coast road you will pass numerous coves and beaches on your way to Denia and Javea.
