You will also find an excellent selection of beaches many offering a full range of water sports including water skiing, jet skiing, wind-surfing and diving.

If you are holidaying in Almerimar anytime between November and March then it is worth driving up into the Sierra Nevada Mountains where you will find Europe's southern most ski resort. It's a weird feeling but you can be skiing in the morning and sunbathing in the afternoon.

Almeria is the driest part of Spain and the whole area is blessed with a sub tropical climate which provides you with long hot, dry summers and wonderful frost free winters.

The nearest Airport to Almerimar is Almeria Airport which ahs just started to receive a fair amount of traffic from several low cost airlines.

You could also fly into either Malaga Airport or Granada Airport but both are a fair drive to Almerimar. Malaga is around 220 kms and Granada is around 165 kms.
