Welcome to Canary Islands weather by Spanish Property World, your source of weather on the Canary Islands in Spain today!
The Canary Islands has a warm, sunny climate with an average temperature of 19-22° C (66-72° F) throughout the year. The coasts on the southern slopes of each island are usually sunny deserts, while those on the northern slopes are much greener. The Canary Islands are included in the GMT zone (Greenwich Mean Time), although they should be in the GMT -1, due to their westerly situation. The trade winds blow from the northeast almost constantly at an altitude of less than 1,500 meters and bring with them fresh, moist air which counterbalances the heat of the nearly tropical latitude. These lower trade winds arrive at the islands after blowing along hundreds of kilometers in contact with the ocean. They are generally constant mild breezes, but they tend to be stronger in summer than in winter.
In the summer the daily highs are about 27C and nightly lows of 18C from June to September. In the winter the daily highs are about 16C and nightly lows rarely much below 8C.
