The agriculturally and touristically important area formed by Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz gives way to the fascinating sight of the Bay of Cadiz, an urban agglomeration with a long tradition of trading and port activity. Puerto America Marina is situated in the commercial basin of Cadiz and occupies an area near the end of the San Felipe breakwater. Craft entering or leaving the marina should follow the buoyed channel of the Bay of Cadiz port. One of its salient features is the depth of water available in the marina, which makes its particularly attractive for larger yachts.
