Here we have listed the major beaches in the area where you can relax and enjoy your holiday's. The Spanish seaboard is over 4,000 kilometres long, washed by the waters of the Mediterranean sea (on the eastern and southern flanks), the bay of Biscay (to the north) and the atlantic ocean (along the west and south). Spain has more than three hundred days of sunshine per year, average temperatures being 18° C - 30° C (64° F - 86° F). Its beautiful sunlit beaches receive millions of tourists each year from all over the world.

Costa del Sol Beaches - in Spain
Most beaches on the Costa del Sol feature small open-air bars or typical Spanish beach restaurants called chiringuitos typically serving a selection of fresh fish. As a rule, the beaches with the best services - including deck chairs, toilets, lifeguards and security - are close to urban or residential areas. All kind of water sports equipment can be hired on the beaches or in one of many leisure ports along the coast. Blue flag beaches are recognised as having high environmental, sanitary and safety standards - there are 13 of them here.

Costa de la Luz Beaches - in Spain
The Costa de la Luz comprises of 300km of coastline, the southernmost in mainland Spain on the Atlantic side, stretching from Ayamonte, on the border with Portugal to Punta de Tarifa in the Straits of Gibraltar. It incorporates two provinces of lower Andalucia, Huelva and Cadiz and several nature reserves of national importance such as the Doñana National Park. Costa Tropical Beaches - in Spain
The Costa Tropical, situated between the Costa del Sol of Málaga and the Costa de Almería, is a priviledged strip of coastline which boasts the very best conditions and attractions necessary to provide an excellent holiday. Costa Almeria Beaches - in Spain
The Costa de Almeria has plenty of fine sandy beaches with clear water ? and you can still find some deserted beaches along the coast. It?s also well worth exploring the dramatic scenery inland. There are Blue Flag beaches at Roquetas de Mar, Berja, Vera and El Elgido. The climate is influenced by African winds and it is here Lawrence of Arabia, and the Spaghetti Westerns were filmed! Costa Calida Beaches - in Spain
The Costa Calida extends along 250km from the beach of Carolina in Aguilas, a few kilometers from the province of Almeria, to the beach at El Mojon on the boundary with Alicante. This stretch of Murcian coastline is blessed with 315 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 17 degrees. Costa Blanca Beaches - in Spain
Much of your Costa Blanca holiday will be spent on the beaches - and there are hundreds of them. Some slope gently and are thronged with people; others are tucked away in coves beneath spectacular cliffs, assuring all the privacy and tranquility of a desert island. Like resorts elsewhere in the Mediterranean, those on the Costa Blanca have no lifeguards. There are Red Cross offices on the most popular beaches, but other than that, you're on your own. Costa Dorada Beaches - in Spain
Wonderful beaches shelving gently into the sea, make the Costa Dorada an ideal choice for a family beach holiday. The Costa Dorada, on the east side of Spain, runs from north of Barcelona to Tarragona and encompasses about 150 miles of golden beaches, hence it's name 'the Gold Coast'. The safe, shallow waters found in Salou and Cambrils are perfect for the small children. Sitges is a little more relaxed and sophisticated.
