The POBASA company (Port Olímpic de Barcelona) has been in charge of the Harbourmaster's office management and administration since the opening of the Port Olímpic in 1992. And from the headquarters POBASA directly controls the daily traffic of the port. The company's main duty, apart from being responsible for the mooring rent and the periods spent in the boatyard, is to carry out the management of the port.
The Port Olímpic of Barcelona is situated right in the middle of 25 hectares of land formerly occupied by sea and four kilometres of new beaches: Somorrostro, Nova Icària, Bogatell, Poble Nou and Marbella. It was designed by a team led by the engineer Joan Ramón de Clascà. An urban sports port which accommodates 740 boats and which hosted the sailing competitions of the 1992 Olympic Games.
Gaining access to the port both by land or by sea, you will be graphically informed of the main ways of approach. Once you get there, you will be able to enjoy all the required services such as a parking area for your vehicle or a mooring reservation for your boat.
