The American School of Valencia Costa Blanca Spain

(Valencia) The American School of Valencia is a Pre-Kindergarten - 12th Grade co-educational, non-profit, parent owned school offering American style education to children of the local and international communities of Valencia. The school was founded in 1980 and is now attended by over seven hundred students.

ASV is located 20 kms from the city center, in a residential area in the hills North of Valencia. Surrounded by orange groves and pines overlooking the Mediterranean sea, our students enjoy a healthy as well as beautiful environment.

Our bus service offers 14 different routes covering the city of Valencia, smaller towns and villages, and many residential areas. Adult supervisors on each bus take care of the students. Buses arrive at school at 9:15 and leave at 16:45. There are special buses for after school activities.

ASV is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is fully recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, thereby qualifying its graduates for entrance to American, Spanish and other universities throughout the world. In addition, ASV is affiliated to the European Council of International Schools (E.C.I.S.) and the Mediterranean Association of International Schools (M.A.I.S.)

There are four large outside sports and playground areas, football field, and a large swimming pool with separate sections for older and younger children. The school has Computer labs, Science labs, Senior and Junior Libraries, Music room and Art room and two cafeterias for students. The Faculty has a lounge and a workroom equipped with computers and resources.

ASV fosters a relationship of cooperation between school and family and recognizes a shared responsibility for the education of children. We encourage parents to contribute to our educational projects by offering them the opportunity to participate in a number of different committees, parent workshops and forums of debate.
