On the eastern edge of Andalucia lies the province of Almeria. It takes it's name from it's capital city which lies on the southern coast of the province.
Almeria is already preparing to host the 2005 Mediterranean Games and already the sporting spirit prevails in the city. This is the perfect place to enjoy water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and rowing. |

Almeria has recently had a new airport built, which is located roughly 8km east of Almeria. The Almeria Airport is accessed by the N340 highway and is well signposted from the Autovia. The Airport is locate right on the edge of the Mediterranean sea and has 2 active runways.
