Alicante the capital of Costa Blanca and enjoys beautiful countryside and beaches. Alicante is served by Alicante airport, with good connections to Europe and the rest of Spain.

Alicante is served by both a costal road and the motorway. Taxis to Alicante town centre are about ?12 - ?15  To Benidorm or Altea approx. ?55 - ?60,  Torrevieja, ?45 - ?50.
 
If there is a group travelling it is strongly reccommend to take the airport shuttle transfer. This is a cheap airport transfers
by taxi and bus transport to Benidorm, Torrevieja, Javea, Denia, Calpe, and other Costa Blanca resorts from Valencia, Murcia and Alicante airports.

Current car parking fees are as follows: Per hour: ?0,75/hour for the first 24 hours thereafter ?7,25 / day.

There are also a large number of Alicante car hire companies operating out of the airport terminal

Note that the first flight to madrid leaves at 06:40 in the morning and is the conection to many other flights to Northern Europe and Continental USA and the Americas. The Iberia Sales Office tries to open to allow you to pick up electronic tickets. More often than not on Monday mornings there is a very long queue and things can get very tight. If you are going on this flight it is advisable to get a real ticket.
